Moscow-the capital of Russia

Ekaterinburg- the third largest city in Russia

Pereslavl

Pereslavl-Zalessky is one of the most famous cities among all other ones in the Golden Ring of Russia. The city of Pereslavl-Zalesky was founded by Yuri Dolgorukiy in 1152. The city is situated on the banks of the Plehcheevo Lake. Pereslavl is a city of famous princes. One of the most famous princes of Pereslavl was Aleksandr Nevsky, who ruled the city. The invaders of Pereslavl were kicked out of the city in the beginning of the 17th century.

Nowadays there are many historical, as well as modern buildings in the city. There are many monasteries in Pereslavl. Goritskiy Uspenskiy Monastery was built in the 16th century, but nowadays only 17th and 18th century buildings survived. Today the monastery is a historical and art museum. Uglich

The town has very old history, which takes you back the 10thcentury.The princes ruling in Uglich sold it to the Moscow’s great prince in the 14th century, to be more resize in 1328. The town was burned down for several times during th invasion of Tartars. The first stone buildings in the town were constructed in the 15th century. Some of these buildings survived till our times.

The town played a very important role in the development of the country. In the 16th century the town prospered and developed, but after that period gradually declined. During the prosperous time, Russian tsar Ivan the Terrible’s brother ruled the town. During the reign of the Romanov dynasty in Russia, Uglich became the famous place of pilligrimage.
